You have to put the old fuse in the adapter for it to work .. I had the same issue .. lol

If you look at the part you plugged into the fuse there is a spot for the old fuse to attach to it .. pop that fuse in and your good nethumb:

If that doesn't work just give him a call ... he was always helpfull to me with all my questions on my install.

yeah for some reason this wiring never worked on my truck .. i keep burning up wires and the releys .. which is why i went to to socal wiring kit .. havne't had a problem since :twothumb:

With the wire gauges shown, I could believe that. Personally, I ALWAYS bump up a gauge or two on my wiring projects referenced from someone else just to be on the safe side.

well 12 gauge is plenty .. whats weird is two of my buddies run that set up in their Rams and have never had an issue .. so thats why i went with it .. but i burnt up 2-3 relays within a few months wired the same exact way

WTF?? He has you wiring the fan up to the O2 sensors?? Talk about asking for problems. This is why I highly recommend the fan I'm using for the '00+ guys. It's cheaper than Sam's "kit" has less wiring involved, cools just as good, has less amp draw, is quieter, and looks a hell of a lot better.

Well thats really not going to help him now since he already has the kit ...


I don't remember it having the other option running it to a O2 sensor .. ill have to check my instructions to see when i get home...

Sam has changed his wiring kits so much over the years your diagram probably won't match up with his anyways. When I used to help him make the wiring kits, there wasn't any wire going to the O2 sensors or radio. Not sure what the reasoning behind using those wires is, other than shear lazyness and not wanting to look for a suitable ignition power source to use. I'm assuming the wire in question is the engine on, or ignition on trigger to the fan relay so it will only run with the ignition on.

Mine is from last year I don't see much changing in the past few months ...
From what I remember there are two options to have the "on" power .. one being the radio fuse so that you can have the fan on in the ACC postition. The other one I can't remember off the top of my head .. but i dont think it was the O2 sensor .. so ill check my sheets when i get home casue now its making me curious :jester:

I had the same issue when I first installed it ... the part has a small fuse attached to it so from just looking at it you don't think you need to put the old fuse there ... well you do and wa law it works nethumb:

and I think the confusion with the O2 is you said sensor in your first post and now your saying relay ... now that I think of it it did say something about the relay .. dunno :huh:
