I want to replace my shocks, starting to get the 1974 Ford Thunderbird float on the freeway occasionally. Truck is an 01 Quad, any suggestions?

It's be a coupe inches lower than it is right now, but not a lot. I want a nice stiff/comfortable ride. Cheap is good!

Calmax

I had DJM Calmax shocks all around on my 2 inch lowering Durango. Very, Very Nice! I loved them, so much I took all four off my D before insurance took it and gave them the stockers. Plan to use mine on my D I am building.. My vote is DJM Calmax got from Stylinconcepts. Peace A.J.

I replaced my stockers with Gabriel Max-Control monoshocks... similar to the Bilsteins, and also sold (for a lot more $) by Les Schwab as their RMX Monotube. I really like them... much stiffer than stock, but I love the feeling on the road.

Only 2 options in my opinion. Bilstein or Rancho
I have run both and thik they are the best out there. :biggthump

Bilstein and Rancho are a little firm on the road. Not as harsh as factory, but they are plush riddin off-road.

bilsteins for sure.
