Hello everyone. When i bought my 1999 dakota r/t tha guy i brought it from had cut it all up and put air bag suspenion on it. I drove it for a while like that but recently desided im trough with the air bag suspenion. Im going to put shocks and leaf springs and coil springs back up under it and well if i do anythang to it i might lower it a bit. Anyways the front tires stuck out even with the front fenders and the rear tires were inside the fenders on the bed. Its kinda ugly like this. I mean if you can picture it. I didnt like it and still dont. So i asked the around about it, to different people i know that had worked on the truck and i was told by some people that the rear end was shortened, and well some told me that it HADNT been shortened. So to solve all this, i figured i would just ask a fellow r/t owner for a faver, if anyone out there is willing to help me that has a 99 r/t with a stock rearend could you please measure the length of your rearend BETWEEN the drum brakes and post a reply to this with the measurement?. If my rearend turns out to be the same as your measure ment then im goin to have to do somethan different. Haha i dont know what yet but ill have to figure somethan out. Ill try and post a pick or two of the front tires stickin out and the back tires sunk in. Thanks.
