I pulled out the seats to my 92 the other day so I could scrub the interior. I like most have the 60/40 seat. I am also "blessed" with the maroon interior. Buckets are hard to find for Gen2 let alone maroon ones. I looked at the seat bases while they were out and it appears they are the same. I am wondering if it would be possible to get a passenger seat base and put the drivers seat tracks/controls & drivers seat back onto it without allot of modification. This would allow me to retain the recline & lumbar feature and look factory stock. I could then find a center console or possibly get a gen3 20 seat section and use the fabric from my drivers seat bottom to recover it. Any ideas or suggestions?

I have thought about fabbing in another set but I want to keep it more stock looking. Also I am 6'1, 290 so smaller buckets or ones with aggressive bolsters will not be comfortable. I would swap in a gen3 40/20/40 if i had grey or tan interior.

Comfort is the main reason I want to try my conversion. It would allow me to keep the comfy seat an provide room for a center console. If I can get seat base cheap I will try it.
