If you have only $300 to spend and want a full 3", you are pretty much stuck with the 3" body lift. The 3" suspension lifts, while being the better option as far as I am concerned, will cost you $500 or more. The 3" suspension lifts for the 2wds require either wheel spacers or aftermarket wheels so the tires/wheels don't hit the new front upper control arms in those kits. There is at least one set of 2" lift coils in the for sale section, you could get them along with the body lift and get close to 5" of lift for less then $300, and that way the truck would sit level instead of being nose down by close to 2".

The red Dak in my sig is my 02 with the 3/2 Doetsch lift and 31x12.50 Pro Comps.

The wheel spacers won't affect the control arms at all, they just space the wheel away from the mounting flange by 1-2" depending on which spacer you get. The factory wheels have too much backspacing, meaning they sit in too far, to clear the new upper control arms which use a different style upper ball joint that is bigger.
