Reminds me of when I was in 7th grade, and Aerosmith's "Get a Grip" had just come out. I bought it, and loved every second of it, and then realized who Aerosmith was...my dad had Pump, Permanent vacation on CD, and about 5 albums on LP! I couldn't get enough!
one day after school, I had the stereo blasting, but realized that it wasn't loud enough to cover up my horrible singing, and that I could still hear myself.
so I put on ear phones which would go so loud it would almost be painful.
...yea, that was the ticket. now I couldn't hear myself sing! AND I had no reason to blast the speakers anymore, so I just turned them off.
so there I am, just wailing away, singing "Angel" by Aerosmith, at the top of my lungs, and I turn around to find that my dad came home early from work that day.
--mind you, there was nothing coming from the speakers, so he heard nothing but my pre-pubescent voice shouting out "You're my aaaaaangellllll, come and save me toooooniiiight"
probably one of the most embarassing moments of my life.
