So I went to autozone to have my battery tested, turns out my terminal was just loose and that fixed it.

Well... when trying to leave the truck wouldn't start. Autozone guy is trying to figure out if he did something. He noticed it stays on if you hold the gas so I'm like hmm idle air control valve, he goes give it a tap, if that works thats the problem. So I do so and yea... works.

The battery tester must have some kind of saboteur built in! Cause 49 bucks later I'm good. But I refuse to install it yet because I have a new throttle body on the way. Seriously truck? You shouldn't just wait a few days? I didn't want to just clean it out, 167k miles, I think she deserves a new one.

Yea, guess this turned into a rant, sorry, lol.

On the plus side, I just bought clear blacked out one peice headlights :mullet:

If you have to hold the throttle to keep it running, battery is most likely dead. Mine, Basedak and most others found out the hard way! IAC was a waste of money!

have a buddy crank it with the throttle closed. as soon as he stops, open the throttle by hand. if it "gasps" then it's IAC

The IAC adaptive memory may have been lost. For some reason they are very sensitive to battery voltage changes. If it is working good now it's prolly ok.

I'm glad I swapped it out when I did the tb. It was darker then the night sky. I tried to just clean it but it was too far gone. It was very bad. I can take a picture if anyone wants to see it, lol.
