I've been thinking about trying something like this...

On the front of my dakota...

I am a little worried though since it's so new. It's a 2004 and I'd hate to butcher it. But then again I've already had some bodywork done on the front from where it was backed into.

I dunno... what do you think?

that`d be hot. i have always wanted to do the same to my truck but glad i haven`t. my truck got peppered by a dump truck this week and there are dents and chipped paint everywhere so glad i didn`t.

im not gonna vote yet still makin my mind, i love them on old classic cars, and there is this chevy ss, its a car i forgot the name with them and they're pretty tight. idk h ow they would look on ur truck though

Do it!

That tank looks very nice. I think newer vehicles look better "clean" so I would suggest doing something subtle that only a true enthusiast would notice. If you go too loud on paint or too many flames you risk looking ricy - Nothing goes better with red/orange flames on a black late model than a big wing and a NOS sticker in the window

That almost hit a little close to home

I say go for it, but the flames on the tank are too obvious. The point of ghost flames is that they are not noticed right away. I would do it in a charcoal over a black truck. You would still see them, but it would be subtle.

Indeed. Ghost flames don't jump on ya. You kinda just see them at certain angles and say Bitchin. :mullet:

+1 on this point...make sure it almost blends in..subtlety is king to making a dramatic statement. Otherwise, it's just flames and nothing ghost about it.

I saw a nice one with color shifting flames last weekend. Looked really great. I didn't even notice them the first time thru and then the sun hit it just right from the other side and it really stood out.
