Ok I'm looking at getting 4.56 gears for my 2000 R/T. What I want to know is what brand gears do people recommend? I'm not really familiar with any brands and don't know whats a good company to look at.

thanks.

4.56's are a bit steep, but if you want them get them. Motive is a good gear Co.

Iv heard different things here. Iv heard going from 3.92s (im pretty sure thats whats in RTs) to 4.10s isnt really worth it and to go with 4.56s. then other ppl said 4.56s would be overkill... but i dont know. But when I get mine (which ever i decide to go with) ill either be getting them from Sam over at socaldakota.com or krcperformance.com :biggthump

Yukon, Genuine, and Superior are the best I know of.

I just put 4.56's in my 2k and i say screw the people that say its Overkill. I love them!! no more gear hunting on the freeway i dont have to hammer down on the freeway to drop a gear to pass someone. only raises the rpm's by 300 or so. Best mod ive done so far. Yes the r/t's come with 3.92's stock

Ya I'm not worried about it being overkill I don't care about that..This truck isn't a daily driver it's just for fun. so I want as much overkill as I can afford!

and I'm staying with pretty much stock tire diameter 28".
