my bullet is "bolted" on.. my exhaust is 3in tubin, so i got a piece of 3in i.d. tube from th local autoparts store and welded it to the bullet.. cut off th old shit, slid the new stuff on and used some u-bolts to clamp th 2 together. leaks a little bit but nothin drastic
You can also get a cat-back system like Flowmaster and it replaces everything from the muffler back. Also it's a "bolt-on" deal that uses the stock hangers. Really it depends on how much you wanna spend.
I did just my muffler...get any muffler you want, and a 2ft extension, sawzall the old muffler out, get one end of the muffler mounted, cut the 2 ft length to the correct length to fill the gap(if there even is one) mount up the other end of the muffler, and use some of that muffler repair tape on the joints...then clamp it all together.
