hi excuse for my bad english,i have a 2000 dakota 4.7. I changed the auto tranny and the new one won't downshifting .Somebody check the truck and he said to me that the pcm was the trouble and i don't want to change it if isn't the real problem.If you have an idea of the problem please let me know thank you

The 4.7L engine has the 45RFE tranny. Fully electrical, no TV cable as with the 42/44/46/47/48RE trannies.
My thought is if the shifting was correct before the swap, either the new tranny has a problem, or maybe a wire in the harness or a pin went bad. I can't see the TCM "going bad" all by itself...
