anyone have any good ways to remove the tape holding on trim , fucken pain in the ass

What I've heard is to get it off the truck is to "saw" floss back and forth and it will cut through it, Then heat it up w/ a heat gun/hair dryer and scrape it off w/ a plastic scraper.

You can also use like an adhesive remover just check in a spot you can't see that well to make sure it won't affect the paint.

It's the trim that is the bitch , trying to get it off the plastic, thanks for the tip

clean strip wheel also called an eraser wheel 3M makes the. once the tape is off use reducer to get the remaining glue gone
I 2nd this idea with the 3M Eraser. I've used this wheel on several thing's on my truck and the decal's and double sided tape. Work's wonder's!! It removes everything, even the glue for the most part. Just need a little rubbing alcohol for the little glue left over, if there is anything left! This 3M Eraser is between $12 and $18. Most autobody shop's carry this product, it's definately a must have.

maybe I'm just hardcore. I use my fingers to rub the stuff off. It takes a certain tecnique.. sort of slowly rub/push in one direction until the adhesive breaks free and it starts to roll over itself. Did this last night to get the tape off after pulling all the flares off. My fingers are pretty sore today though eheh.

If your still trying to get the trim off you can either A) pull it off or B) use dental floss, a heat gun really makes things much easier if its stubborn. If you are trying to get the foam tape off that is still stuck on the car, the eraser wheel works the best. If its just a small section and you have plently of time, you can just rub it with your thumb and it will kinda mimic the eraser wheel lol. Expect it to be very boring though. :)
