I have a 89 shelby dakota, and my cooling fans are NOT coming on with the temp or turning on the AC. :cussing:

I jumped the wires and the fans work fine, so its a switch or sensor somewhere.

Any ideas? :help:

I assume you are jumping the Relays in the Relay center under the hood. If this is the case. You know it's got a good fuse (otherwise you'd not have power under the hood) You can however check to see with the A/C Turned on (or the temp up high enough to trigger the fans) if you are gettin voltage to the signal pin on the Relay. You obviously know which one is the "hot" lead, find out which ones ground, output etc. Bust out the old Voltmeter and get cracking.

Relays are typically $15-30 each, and the coolant temp sensor on older kota's is like $20 or so. It's located right down by the T stat somewhere, little bugger if I remember right (It's been a L O N G time since I replaced one of those)
