Hey, This looks like a great site!
Today my 99 v6 2 wheel drive dakota died at a stop sign. Lots of angry people behind me gestured and honked. Not the most pleasent experience.
I stepped on the gas pedal while cranking and the engine finally came back to life. I still get alot of hesitation as I put it through its gears.
I figure I will start with the simple fix approach and figured the fuel injectors maybe clogged after 148,000 miles on them. I just changed the cap, rotor and wires.
Since I needed to fill up anyway I put in some STP fuel injector cleaner as a precaution. Is there anything more proactive I can do to solve this fuel starvation issue?
Any help here would be much appreciated.
My dakota has always been my reliable transpo, and I hate the thought of relying on my other car which is a 57 mg.
Thanks,
Liam
