Aftermarket Subs with Factory Headunit?

Hey guys, How would I go about hooking up a Aftermarket Sub in the Factory Infinity Head unit? Is it possible?

I dont think it would be a problem....but i could be wrong see what everyone else says before you start...or call an audio place they should know to

Audio places around here in MD dont give out info inless you pay them to do the job you want to do yourself...

ya, its pretty easy... all you really need is a line out put converter- something like THIS to tap into your speaker wires and hook up your RCA cables. you will also need to tap into your anntena wire (i think thats right) for your turn on lead for the amp and of course your power and ground wires for your amp as well. :biggthump

exactly, I have hung around a local stereo shop for around 8 years and this has been the situation everytime. But of course your asking the opinion of people who demands the best form their stereos, that being said it may be fine for you but for me the sound was not adequate untill I put in the pioneer deck

Thats what i was gonna say. I did that to a GMC I had cause I liked the old school dual head units :mullet: . One for the tape deck and one for the radio. it was a 89 GMC
