Ok so i bought this 01 R/t Durango with rear A/C. Compressor was a bit noisey and low side press were STUCK at 90psi, high side press were ok between 250 and 300 psi.
So i got new compressor, receiver drier, and front AND rear expansion valves. pulled vacuum on system for 30 min, let sit for 20, help vacuum perfect. Charged with 2.44lbs R134A freon. NOW low side press is at 65-70 psi and high side is at 250-270psi. when i bring RPM up to 2,000 rpm the low side press goes to 30-40psi (which is about where is should be at ilde, maybe a little higher) and high side is still normal at 250-300 psi.
Does anyone know what could be causing the low side press to be so high at an idle? I was thinking/leaning towards a blocked or clogged condenssor. I might add that the compressor i removed that was noisey WAS NOT a mopar compressor so i am assuming it has been changed before.
GOING NUTS HERE! ANY help or IDEAS would be great!
