To the op get yourself an air/fuel gauge and monitor afr at wide open throttle while accelerating tha would help dial it in alot then just doing it blindly i have the SCT prp and thats how i tuned mine so far
 
Sounds like hemi tried to give you the shaft then, and i do agree with you not everyone understands how to adjust all the b.s., im not sure about the trinity but i have helped my friends with the intune do a few adjustments
