I just got a 2000 4x4 with the 4.7 It has the "V8 Magnum" badge on the fenders and I'm wondering why. I thought the Magnum refered to the 5.9 and when I first looked at the truck that's what I thought it was but a check of the VIN said it's 4.7.

That's what I thought. Thanks for the answers tho. I just did a little research of my own and learned what the "magnum" badge means. Seems to just be a difference in head design. A wedge shape combustion chamber instead of the poly- or hemi-spherical heads, and improvements in flow design.
