evap canister

I have an 04 Dakota, 4.7.

where is the evap canister located? What does it look like?

I believe you are referring to the canister under the driver , just inside the frame rail... It looks like a box, in fact it is the only box thing there. It will have some hoses coming from it. Getting an evap leak trouble code?

on the frame rail just below the drivers seat. looks like a black box with rubber vacuume lines that run to the gas tank.

Yes, I have already replaced the gas cap.

Funny thing, my 01 Grand Cherokee had the same issue. Luckily a new cap fixed it.
