Has anyone ever heard of a fiberglass hood cracking from cold temps outside? How likely of a thing is this? I want to get the SRT-10 Hood, but it gets fairly cold here in the winter...-20 at times.

Mine has been around on my truck for 5 years with no issues.Cracking could be caused from other debris hitting the hood(ice off semi's).

Is the SRT hood a functional ram air hood?

And if anyone has a pic of the heat extractor option i'd like to see it

got me a shaker and i livei n newengland aint had no problems sounds like cheap and shotty workmanship to me,

I grew up in a boatyard and a guy was braging about how strong fiberglass is one time and to prove his point he let someone i know personally shoot a .38 at the hull of the boat from 15ft away. dropped the boat in the water and still floats no leaks. Fiberglass when done right is EXTREEMELY strong

Nice thanks. One more thing...i think. When ordering this hood, if you say you have a K&N or cone filter you get the CAI hood and if you say you don't then you get the one for the open air element right?

they ask you which version of the hood you want. both are the same price, its just personal preference
