I payed 403 to my door, The install kinda sucked as they dont send you EVERYTHING you need,, I had to buy a switch for the horn its self and some more air line. I also need to remove my spare tire to mount them up. because the horns are BIG.. Over all im super pleased. I got them from trainhorns.org I dont like the ebay ones at all. The parts just seem cheap to me. The only thing i need now is a bigger tank to blast alittle longer

Hey man i been looking into a train horn and i was wondering where did you mount the horns and compressor? I dont know where i would mount mine if i did it.

Nice! I should upload a vid of mine too.

call up airlift and ask for sue or jeremy, tell em nate sent ya ;) or call suicide doors and ask for dave, and tell em larstrak from subsonic sent ya ;)
ask for everything you need with a train horn.

i have a viair 380, 5 gal tank, ride control support bags, and train horns.
i mounted my compressor on the driver side inside C-channel frame behind the rear wheel, and i removed the spare tire and mounted my 5 gallon in place of it, with the horns themselves mounted on the horizontal side-side crossmember just in front of the rear bumper.

ps: it's fuckin loud, and i love it. i live in a college town (MSU) so there's always plenty of fresh meat to scare the shit out of. best idea i've ever had. and you can DEFINITELY still hear it on the highway

thanks! the 3 gallon is PLENTY big enough for horns. 5 gallons is alot of air. it's a HUGE tank to stuff under there. plus, if you don't get a beefy enough compressor: it's going to tear itself to pieces trying to fill 5 gallons at 150psi. smaller, more economical compressors may be used with a 2 or 3 gallon tank. i went with 5, because i also inflate my bags, and i have an auxiliary air hose to pump up my tires and toys ;)

Awesome, Do you have any photos of your install,, Like where your horns are.. Mine are 16'' long, 11'' wide, and 12 tall.. No I couldnt find anywhere to mount them up but where my spart tire was.. Id love to have them more up front reather than back there.. either way you can hear them in any direction.

lol yeah, I do that all the time..

Now i got to get another switch,, Wife got trigger happy with the compressor switch and broke it LOL.. All in good fun though
you are using a relay with it right?

Wow. That really makes me want one. I would probably end up getting arrested with it though :(, being that I am in a pretty big college town ( WVU), and some of my friends would prolly bug the shit out of me all the time to blow it. Same goes for a cb with a PA, I figured my friends would end up saying stuff and then get my truck keyed or something while it was sitting in the parking garage.
