how do the fuel rails disconnect form the injectors? im tryin not to break anything today so I just want to make sure, thanks
make sure your battery is disconnected, and get a towel to place under the connection.i think the fuel line is threaded onto the rail. if i pull both the rails n then disconnect the fuel line, is it going to piss gas all over the place?
After doing this, there should be a bleeder valve on the driver side rail that lets you bleed off the residual. Just stick a rag over it - there's generally only a few drops left.Start your truck with the fuel pump relay out of it to bleed the pressure out of the system. Lots of rags will be needed still as the rails will drain when you pull an injector.
yeah, forgot about that thingAfter doing this, there should be a bleeder valve on the driver side rail that lets you bleed off the residual. Just stick a rag over it - there's generally only a few drops left.
why are you going with the 24lb inj? have alot of mods, and a blower too? 24 on a basically stock motor is way overkill. these trucks fun rich already. you can do ALOT of mods before needing to up the injectors.Where is a good place the buy the fms 24 lb injectors? The 5.9 is new to me. I know you can get them off ebay, what year model works on our trucks? Thanks.
not if it sat for a litle while. i did the same thing to my 3.9 a while ago, not much came out.Start your truck with the fuel pump relay out of it to bleed the pressure out of the system. Lots of rags will be needed still as the rails will drain when you pull an injector.
