Well I was almost ready to sell the truck and get a turbo car...but seeing how much insurance is on a sports car than a truck...and all the money I already put into my truck...I may as well keep it.

Im sure most have seen my blower for sale...well its sold, and funding a new project. Got some parts today.

Specs.

Turbo- garret internals. T4 GT66. .81 A/R Little on the large side...but I got a good deal on it.

46mm wastegate. 8psi spring to start off.

Thats what I have so far...need to order some more things...and the fabbing can begin.

More stuff!!!! I have a blitz DD BOV on the way. Turbo Timer, Fuel pressure gauge, and hopefully I can get ahold of this turbonetics for cheap, a much better quality turbo then what I have now.

I love gathering parts. hehe. And if your wondering how much I spent so far...just a little over 1k. I have a budget of 2k. Just goes to show how well you can use your money when you look for the best deals.

are you going to do a remote turbo setup...or a more traditional style?

No remote mount. The turbo is too large to really run as a remote setup. Turbos likes heat, remotes work fine but usually a smaller exhaust side is used. It will be on the passenger side of the engine compartment. The driver side header will crossover into the custom header I am making.

thats rad. i'd love to have a turbo kit, but cant afford 5+g's for a kit. there was this nice old chevy on dragtruk.com that the dude made a stout TT setup out of old diesel truck parts, but i just dont have the time for a project like that.

Sweet! I'm considering the same deal for the Dak over the winter.. I have a pair of HX35s waiting in the wings...

Ya don't need big dough for a turbo car though... MaMopar made tons of em that go fast for cheap!:mullet:
