here are my results at the track from the beggining of the year...

may 4th (bone stock)
15.71@91.25mph

july 24th (M1, K&N CAI, 52mm TB, 180 thermo)
15.71@91.50mph

july 31st (ajusted tv cable so the truck shifts now)
15.85@88.83mph

OK..... WTF!!!! and 15.85 was my only run under 16.25!!!!
It just keeps getting worse and worse...

All the times are from the same track.... I thought that by getting the tranny to shift, I would get better times, but NO!
I just can't understand what is going on... I'm so fcking tired of trying to get the truck going faster and all it seems to do is getting slower and slower.... in these kind of situation I would just sell the truck and buy a stang... at least these car are better known and easier to make faster!

:cussing::cussing::rant::rant:

Your 60's are the culprit. If you had better traction, you'd be running faster than you did when it was stock. Also, your exhaust system is a bottleneck and a PCM flash would really help wake up your truck.

With my truck with similar mods to you(pcm flash, headers and duals, 1.7's, in addition to what you already have)

I ran a 16.1 at 87mph with a 2.39 60'. That same day, at that same track, a few passes later...I ended up getting a 14.3 at 97mph with a 2.19 60'. The rest of my runs that night were between 14.4 and 14.6 and the mph ranged from 94-96. So that shows pretty well how traction can affect your times.

What tires are you using, and what kind of condition are they in, and what size are they? How much pressure is in the tires? What's your launching technique? What RPM is it shifting at? Are you leaving it in Drive and letting it shift by itself, or do you put it in 2nd and manually shift it into 3rd? Is overdrive off? Are you in a club cab or regular cab, and have you done anything for weight reduction?

You need traction - bad.

Pick up a set of 15" or 16" OEM wheels and then get a set of M&H Drag Radials, or some other type of drag tire.

I have a set of 26x11.5x15 E/T Streets mounted on wheels for sale, but trying to ship them across the border would probably cost a fortune.

I'm not so sure if it's just traction. He has a better setup than I do and I can pull 14.9's all day long on all season Kuhmo ECSTA STX's. My 60' are around 2.2.

He has a CC...they are not much lighter than my Durango. But yeah, something does seem wrong.

I'm getting 15.2 all day with a 2.2 60' time with the same mods. And I ran with my subs in there, full tank of gas, street trim.

On a more serious note. You're another one where I think something is up. You were running a 15.4 without your M-1 and flash. Now that you have them you're only running a 15.2. You should be at the very least into the high 14's by now. I refuse to believe it's ALL due to the lack of traction. Your 60' were on par with mine. :drive:

Well with the flash and M1 it was a little warmer on the days I did my runs. Next time I'm gonna go on as little gas a possible and take out my system. I just think I need my exhaust redone. The Y-pipe is what I think is getting me. My buddy has the same size Y-pipe on his Ranger. I'm getting air in with the CAI, 52mm tb, and the intake manifold. I think I just need to get more air out. But yeah, i would think that I should be a little faster in the mph. But it is what it is.

Get those PPH's in and then head over to Mike at Twisted Pipes, he'll hook you up.

I'll be heading back to Byron in a couple of weeks once this damn heat wave passes. :cussing: I'll let you know and we'll see if we can get you into the 14's. :banana2:

From May to July the weather could be, and probably was a lot hotter and more humid too.

I have the OEM tires and they are still in pretty good shape... I try to warm them up a bit but without getting in the water box...
I always try to launch at about 1500rpm...
I put it on D, but with o/d off...
I'm in a CC and nothing for weight reduction (spare still there...)

When you adjusted the TV cable and to get it to shift, did you push it in (towards the radiator) or pull it out (towards the firewall)?
Pushed it towards the radiator... towards the firewall it just got worse..

Shipping would probably be a problem...
