So ever since I installed my fuel cell in the bed of the truck, my engine has been getting hot ass gas. How bad is this for performance? I have a black painted fuel cell with no bed cover and live in VA, where the hot ass sun just beats on it all day. So basically the tank is getting very hot which in turn heats the gas up. What would be the best thing for me to do besides get a bed cover? I will be covering it when I start my sheet metal bed next month, but need something to do in the mean time. If any of you guys have any suggestions let me know, of if I should even worry about it. Here is a pic to better describe what I am talking about....

Since it would be temporary you could get a jumbo windshield heat reflector thing and lay it over it when you are not driving it maybe use a few screws to keep it in place. I have no idea if this would do any good but it was just a thought.

Hmmm, I could just sit one of those over the cell while I am parked. Since that's only time it will sit in the sun for long periods of time. Great Idea man!

How much is this hurting my performance though, will it even effect anything?
