Anyone know anything about this city? I've got a phone interview with a company from there Monday. I was just curious. I'm ready to get the hell out of MI, but my wife is gonna be a tough sale.

Well it sounds pleasant. Plus it is ALOT hotter in the south

peachtree city.....its more of a higher class city, lots of expensive houses and stuff there, but its a decent place to live or work. I worked in PTC for a while and it was fine. I live in sharpsburg, which is between newnan and PTC. If you have any more questions pm me...

I'll know more Monday. I guess everyone drives golf carts around. HAHA

that is 100% the truth....there are golf cart paths all over the town and if you go to the shopping mall you will see plenty of carts out in front of american eagle, banana republic and atlanta bread company....i personally am fond of PTC because it is a nicer side of town and you don't have to worry about much of the petty lower class problems....very nice town just a little bit pricey as far as cost of living due to bills and stuff but you can easily get a house near sharpsburg or any number of other towns within 15-20 minutes of PTC and save yourself some money....every summer PTC hosts free concerts for the residents of Fayette county over at the park....last year the grand finale was Kenny Rogers and before that was Styx

yea ther'es like 80+ miles of golf cart trails in PTC. its about a hour or a little more than an hour away from columbus though. my gf worked in the avenue there in peachtree city, and golf carts are friggin crazy, just watch out for the stupid kids on their parents golf carts

i grew up in sharpsburg and peachtree city. i moved away about 5 years ago to go to school. it is a really nice area, but it is just too crowded for me. i still go down there every once in a while to visit the family. i am actually going to be going down there in a few weeks.

When I was living and working in Carrollton and Franklin, I used to go through PTC a lot when crossing over to Griffin, McDonough, Fayetteville, etc. It's a nice place, but I'd definitelyl want to live away and drive in. It'd probably be a lot cheaper even with $2.90/gal gas...I'm down on the coast now about 30 min from Savannah.

Well I had my 2nd phone interview Monday and I just got off of the phone with the head of HR. They want to fly my wife and myself down within 2 weeks for a personnal interview. I still haven't even mentioned any of this to her. If I go that will be the end of all the billet stuff too. Now I know somebody is gonna tell me no to leave. HAHA

When they say "you're hired" we'll roll out the red carpet. Till then you're a tourist. :nana: But seriously, I think you'll like it down here. Weather is nice (a little hot but not too bad) and your vehicle will last much longer with our mild winters so that's a huge bonus right there.

Can anyone point me towards a website that I could check on housing prices somewhere close to Peachtree. I guess South is more country oriented that's my bag. Besides I have to buy my daughter a horse if I move.

Stop here on the way down and get her a Derby loser, they all get sent to the glue factory once they lose the race anyways. :jester:
