Last night I helped my friend put in a tool box and build a cover for his bed. The box came from Lowe's which the book said it would fit a quad - cab, but it didn't. It would fit my truck perfectly though. So we wacked up a brand new tool box to get it to fit between the wheel wells. We then made a frame that sits in the bed and is bolted to the bed rails. The plan is to build two more boxes on each side. He uses this truck as his work truck and wants to get some of the stuff out of the back seat. Enjoy!

A guy can never have enough diamond plate. I love the stuff. Never seen anything like it. Looks great :eek:nethumb: So is it like a removable tonneau cover or what?

that is pretty dang awesome....i really hate shiny stuff.....but it looks good.....anyone ever seen that black diamond plate?

I so wanted to do a diamond plate bed, just do the whole thing, bed floor, front, sides and with a "normal" tonneau and some nice lighting underneath when the tailgate/tonneau was open. That looks sick, where'd ya get the metal? That stuff is expensive.

YEah, I really don't like diamond plate, I want to paint my tool box black, but this does look pretty sweet. I told him I was going to buy stock in Mothers buff balls, cause he is going to need a few.

Yeah that stuff is expensive!!! I was about to pull the trigger to make the first cut and I said, "I'll ask you how much this cost after I get done cutting" He told me the price of that 4x10 1/8" piece, then I set the plasma cutter down and said, check my measurments please.... (they were right...)

10 bolts and it all comes out...

That looks kick ass! That baed cover would look even better without the tool box. good job guys.
