First, i want to say to admin great job,great site. :twothumb: I want to tint my front and back windows to match the factory rear on my 2004 quad cab Dak.What percent tint do i need?

Most places max for front is 35% or close to that. For trucks the rears can be as dark as you want.

He has a quad cab. The back side windows are right around 15-20%, and I believe the back is a little lighter. Any reputable tint shop should be able to match the windows perfectly, just tell them that is your goal.

When I lived in cali, my S-10 had 15%~ish and I rolled my windows down a lot of times when the po-po were near so they couldnt ticket me for them.

I did my front two 20% and I am very impressed at how well it matches. Your local tint shop should be able to clue you in on how strict your enforcment is...I think anything higher than 35% is a waste of money. 50% might as well be stock IMO.

I like it dark in my truck, and so no one can see me drinkin a brew on the way home from work, so I went with 2 layers of 0% all the way around. Definatly roll down the windows when I see a po-po or radar goes off!

Jesus! 2 layers of 0. I bet that is dark as hell. I do agree with you, it is fun knowin that people can't see ya. Can you even see out of the windows when you are in it? When I used to have "13" %(what the cops metered it at) , I had a hell of a time seeing at night. I would always roll my window down at intersections and stuffbondslayer said:

At night it's hard as fuck, but I usually roll with the windows down a bit. The meter reads 0% in front and back, ahah. I work hand in hand with lawyer and bail bond, so i'v had about 6 tickets but pay nothing for them. I love the look on the cops face

lollol, it's impossible to be taken to jail for window tint! Now if you roll down the window and herb smoke comes pouring out, now that's a diff story
