If my truck runs over 16's still and I have nitrous will I need to buy a Drivers Jacket?

Ive been asked to leave from firebird and speedworld for going to fast with no rollcage. The offical at speedworld threw a NHRA rule book at me and said " dont come back till you read this"!!
thats funny cause at speedworld they didn't seem to care that Dunner went that fast without a roll cage :jester:

remember the track freaking out when dunner ran that 9.90 something with no roll cage.. that was kinda funny
actually it was 11.10ish ...and if he hit 10.99 (which was possible with tempertures dropping so fast) he would Have to have a roll cage or firebird could get in trouble

11.99 & faster; coat & pants + below
13.99 & faster; helmet & drive shaft loop

Taken from Firebird's website:
As of February 1, 2006 all vehicles with an aftermarket power adder, (nitrous, turbocharger, or supercharger) will be required to wear an SFI approved fire jacket.

Yeah, the guys at Firebird got pretty excited about low 11s. Speedworld was very nice about it when the truck went into the 10's. Both tracks have become super-strict about the rules lately. (I'm sure it's an NHRA/insurance issue and they have to enforce the rules to keep the insurance) I was told not to return until I had the required safety equipment. I picked up the Lexan for my back window yesterday, so I can finish the truck up this week. I'll post up some pics of the rollbar install next week.

it seems like they change the rules every year. So the import guys who use nitrous to run 15's now have to wear a fire jacket?
Who knows exactly why they have to change the rules all the time. I guess the track has seen too many people catch their stuff on fire after modifying the fuel system?

I got my fire jacket over the internet. Summit or Jegs will be the cheapest and you can get it within a couple of days.
