Ok, I just got to school now...my transmission is dead...I'm pretty sure. First it started in 2nd gear, then it wouldn't get out of second gear unless I let off the gas, and now it wont get out of 1st gear unless I let off. The overdrive also disengages on its own. Don't know what to do...is it dead? I check the cables, everything is fine. If it is dead, what parts do I need to get? I want to supply the parts. TransGo shift kit, and what else? If I need a stall converter, what should I get? Thanks guy.
 
yeah mine does the same things just take it to a shop and have them rebuild the whole thing instead of trying to piece it together, it may be blown who knows. you got a check engine light yet? i have 2 codes on my truck now and o/d is gone and got a code for not enough line pressure or something :cussing:

Shit, no check engine light yet. I can't go more than like 30mph without being loud and slow. It's gunna take me hours to get home 30mph. Crappppp...I'm looking at IPT Performance...I think I'm gunna buy the stuff from them. How much should a rebuild cost?

Hmm...maybe I'll buy a newly rebuilt one off ebay, or maybe IPT Performance...or maybe thefastman. I want at least a shift kit and a new tranny...Since I last replied I brought it out for a ride and it started smoking like a chimney inside teh truck and outside...then tranny fluid went EVERYWHERE...left a trail and large puddles. Flat bed came, and broguht it to a place. They're gunna call me when they see what the problem is.

I emailed the fastman about buildin up my transmission for when I finally put my supercharger in. He said it would be $1850+shipping to hook me up with what I needed. You can either send him yours and have it built up and sent back or he can just send you another one, though he prefers you to send yours and do it that way just to be SURE everything buttons back up perfect.

Alright...my bud called me just now. He thinks its a bad pump, seal, or torque converter. So he's finding otu some prices for all of them (stock parts) and going to take it apart tomorrow I'm assuming. If it's the converter, I want to put a perfomance converter. What should I put? 2400 stall? I drag race if I do race. Either from a stop or a roll. So there...lol. What you guys think I should get if it's the converter? Also, what about a performance pump? Thanks.

P.S.- I'm gunna make him adjust the bands and put synthetic. Thanks.

Are rail transmission coolers good?
 
heres a few goodies i would go back with, tranny cooler, staller convertor 2400 or 2800 dependin, shift kit, alumin accumulator, rear servo kit, no buzz reverse, Updated Governor Pressure Valve, etc, if anything unless ya buddy gonna do it dirt cheap, shop around

OKOK EMERGENCY....the sho pjsut called me...he said "They're going to start it and reset the computer". I have teh Mopar Perf. PCM, they can't touch the computer...I will flip out if they destroy the settings on it and return it t ostock. How will I know if they did....help asap, i have 40 mins
 
if its been flashed i dont think itll hurt it bein reset, jsut unhookin the negative, but if ya got it jsut programmed through a programmer itll still be ok.
also you cant hur the mopar comp jsut by resetin, just goes back the way it was when you first put it in.

Yea so, old thread, but the torque converter blew and shreded, and I had to replace the tranny for particles going through.
