I have a chance to get a set of used Hotchkis control arms for my 99 R/T CC. Just wanted to make sure I'm getting the real deal. Can someone post pics of what they look like. Ive looked but couldnt find any. I'll post pics of them soon. Thanks. Nate.

someone is yanking your chain....they don't make such a thing.. :sorry:
^^^^x2......there are only a coupe of companies that make arms for us none of witch are hotchkis. the only companies that make them are western chassis, AIM, DJM, devious customs, barnyard customs, and that's about it. and the worst part is two of those companies don't make them anymore and another two are very poor quality

western chassis are the best ones you can get (should be getting mine in two days), then DJM (but they have problems with breaking at the ball joints), then devious or barnyard (but both of those companies will take your money and not send you anything). then chassis tech (which is a set of upper and lower arms)....but personally i would stay a far away from those as possible. they have very bad service, and poor quality product. some people like them , but you could pay me to put those on my dak. so all in all if you want a set of lower arms, go with western chassis, they will last longer than all the others. the only other option besides those is to get someone to make you a custom set of tubular arms.....which is something else i am working on right now, or just rebuild the stockers

Yeah Hotchkis Does not make arms for the Daks, only spring and sway bars. I have a set of the DJM 3" lower arms and I like them. They only thing I don't like about them is the red Porthane bushings they put in them. The bushings like to make noise since they are so stiff.

i've been running my western chassis control arms since february this year. i bought hotchkis tvs with bilstein shocks but decided to go with wc control arms instead of the hotchkis coils. the wc control arms give some negative camber and require you to notch the upper control arm perches about 1/4 inch outward. the alignment shop could not get the laser to work until the wheels had more positive camber.

Thanks for the feedback guys. The arms are from my friends old R/T and we were always under the impression they were Hotchkis, apparently we were wrong lol. Heres a pic of the arms and the gorgeous truck they are out of. Nate.

I'm running the WC CA's and a 1" WC coil spring.... no notching required

what about the negative camber? i scanned in the instructions that i received with the ca's into my computer. this section notes what i am referring to.
15. NOTE - Extra Alignment Adjustment for 97+ Dakota only: You should also remove the upper A-arm at this time so that the camber adjustment can be increased for proper alignment, no matter whether you plan to use the lower drop A-arm only or with an additional I" or 2" drop coil.. To increase the camber adjustment, first un-bolt and remove the upper A-arm from the frame. Then, using a die grinder, grind out the slotted area of the frame member length-wise where the upper A-arm bolts attach, so that the slot will be 1/4" longer towards the outside of the vehicle. Then, re-install the upper A-arm and continue on.
