Since I already ordered new plugs and injectors, they will be used. Got the plugs today and in went the new titan plugs, and out went the probably perfectly fine plugs that was in when I bought the truck.
The funny part was that from the beginning the no 7 plug was soot black, but now it’s ok, and no 3 is black. 🙄

Here I am again with moore stories about my truck.
# I got the pcm, and after chainging the truck was the same !!!!
# I bought a long thick cable and has so far mounted frame-exhaust and - pole to engine.
I will mount ground to a couple of places moore.
# I bought a dual pump, rebuilded it slightly, and connected it to the vaccumsystem, lit a cigarette and pumped in the smoke. Nothing leaked as far as I could see.
# Yesterday I got the crank sensor out, and the metallic nose was covered about 25% with metallic magnetic sludge, like what you could find in the oil pan.
# It still runs like a tractor on 6 cylinders when it’s cold, but usually gets better when it’s warmed up. Not as it should though, but differes between 7-8 cylinders on a good day.
# I have a static 0300 code now, and some buss/radio codes aswell.
# I have a ticking sound from behind the ac-cooler when cold, so I have ordered a set of new lifters and rockers. I dont want an engine crash due to separated lifters.

As you guys can see I’m still at the same place as I was before ordering the refurbed pcm, and see no lights at the end of my tunnel. 😖

I am sorry to read that replacing the PCM was not the answer.

Here is a thread that is on another Dakota forum, and it has to do with a Dakota running poorly and throwing all sorts of codes, and the owner claims that he disconnected his ECT (engine coolant temp) sensor, and that solved his problem. (The background on that is that the PCM uses the data sent to it from the ECT sensor to adjust the gasoline delivery via the injectors, and the OP of that thread feels that due to the ECT sensor he was either getting too much or too little gasoline . . . I had always thought this sensor had more of an effect on idle speed, but perhaps I was wrong). AQnyway, here is that thread if you want to give it a read:

I just ordered a new crank sensor after finding out that the my sensor don’t work as it should.
I found a clip on youtube where a guy explained how to test the crank sensor with 3 pins, and my sensor failed the test.
I really hope that he didn’t bullshxxxxing, I REALLY wan’t my truck fixed so I can move on to other things to do.
I don’t know if anyone reads my rambling, but I guess I’ll keep writing until the truck is fixed.
