Jake in Denver here. 07 Dakota, 4x4, 4.7quad cab. I love my truck, it’s new to me with 145k on the clock and lots of deferred maintenance 😅 this truck is a replacement for my old 91 3/4 Chevy. I do much lighter work now and have car seats to carry so in my mind the Dakota is a perfect truck!
I’m slowly getting it back into shape and look forward to learning some things along the way! Been wrenching on my own stuff since 16 and this Dakota seems OK to work on so far.
Already looking into HO head and cam swaps but that seems kind of a big bag...
First up is a full suspension/steering overhaul and 265/70s
Then we will start to hot rod a little bit 😈
