There are taps on the right side of the case. You need a gauge that can read up to 300psi.

You can check the pressure sensor if you have a scanner that can connect to the TCM, like a DRB.

The sensor just measures pressure. If you have a pump failure or internal leak you aren't going to move. Since it wasn't moving before you swapped out the solenoid pack it's worthy of a check.
 
The pressure will vary.

Basically you want to verify:

1. You have pressure.
2. It matches up with what the line pressure transducer is measuring.

If you want to start checking all the clutch pressures, you'd need a valve body pressure tap adapter:

N-R, 220 psi.
Most other shifts vary from 100-120psi.
