Hell ya

Talked to crane to get everything set up, and also asked what type of information I will get. He said I will get a full sheet of every detail and measurement, not just a simple cam card. So we will know everything about this cam.

When should we be looking forward to that

I'm going to ship it today, he said the turnaround time is 1 week. So after shipping to and from maybe a little over 2 weeks.

Hopefully they will email me a copy so I don't have to wait for my camshaft to arrive.

Can't wait to see what it is and anybody know off hand what max lift it for the 4.7l before interference issues are a problem

I don't know but the "high load" beehive springs max lift is .650, but idk if there is enough PTV clearance.

About the only people I can think of that might have gone through all the trouble to measure the V/P clearance would be KRC performance that's no longer around. They were about the only people that did much with the 4.7. I assume they would have measured for clearance since at one time they were talking about some billet cams for the 4.7 that never materialized and were the original developers of the HO regrinds..

It sucks that they're no longer around.

Yes it does but after hearing some of the stories idk if they deserve to be but if the H.o. cams can be ground to a 520 bigger then what's currently made

I just wish we had options for custom grinds like the 5.7 and most V8's do. It sucks comp cams wouldn't go for it. The demand was there when they were considering it but I guess not enough for them to get rich. The 4.7 is a good engine if maintained, and can be built to perform well but the price for quality parts is crazy high and aftermarket support isn't very big at all.

if all goes well with what im putting together the hp numbers and torque should convince anyone that the 4.7 will actually out perform other pushrod engines bottom line
That's what I'm thinking. Are you going to put it on a dyno when you get it broke in?

But even being about .022 bigger should be able to get a .560 ish lift

I'm not regrinding mine. Thought you were? But yes the info is for the 08 only problem with them is the lobes are powder metal and delta can said they can't even repair them so idk about grinding them.

Yea if it is possible and worth it then I would, but after hearing that idk.

I'm just guessing I have no clue the can grinder should be able to tell you max grind

I think a grind that large would push the P2V clearnance.
