Alright, so I re-measured all 3 camshafts. I will admit that the 08 camshafts are a little bit bigger but not sure how much this counts for on a camshaft, and I'm not sure how to calculate the base circle since the 08 have a larger barrel but the same size journals. On a side not I was going on 2 hrs of sleep yesterday and 4 today. Anyways here is what I have after measuring 8-10 times in the last hr.

Stock: Intake-1.9735
Exhaust-1.9675
Journals-1.025
Base Circle-1.738

2008+: Intake-2.012
Exhaust-1.9885
Journals-1.025
Base Circle-1.738

Now I know how to figure out the lift but on the 08 I'm not sure where the barrel is thicker. I know the rocker arm ratio is 1.85, any help figuring this out would be great. Thanks and sorry for all the conflict.

Ok I don't have my sheet but believe you measure from heal to toe as measurement A and the base circle as B subtract A from B and times by 1.85 rocker ratio

Yea I came up with 507 intake and 463 exhaust. Either way it's pretty close to your and stampede's measurements. Also I apologize for getting all my measurements mixed up and causing a rant on your thread. Now all we need is the LSA and duration....

Duration and lsa need degree wheels for but did you keep the 08 cams or you return them already

Ya the little bit of increase in the lobe when multiplied by the follower ratio is where you get the increase in numbers over stock I knew 3 people couldn't of screwed up numbers that bad

Yea man I was exhausted, found the numbers really close to stock(wasn't aware that little bit would make a difference), and I then found that link so I was second guessing myself. I'm glad I talked with a few guys on DT and re measured. Either way the dealer refused to refund them.

Damn really

Now I just need to figure out which valve springs to use with either cam. Should I go with the beehive springs or buy new HO springs?

Personally comp cams springs

CCA 26113-16 are the ones I'm running

Yes not really any upgraded parts available for those aftermarket yes but not upgraded

I think craigslue is using comp cam 792 retainers with his 26113 springs. I called comp cams and the tech couldn't advise anything since these springs were made for the ford 4.6l 2 valve engine. But he did say if he was installing the 26113 springs on a 4.6 then he would use the 792 retainers. But you are the 2nd person that I have verified that used the stock retainers with the beehive springs. I'm sending a set of heads to killians tom and want to make sure I get him everything needed to do the p&p and valve job.

Unless you wanna drop the money stocks are plenty

Cool I just got off the phone with Jerry and he said the same thing. I appreciate the help.

Ya no problem what's he charging to do a port and polish

He's charging 500 for the p&p and I think around 300-400 to do the valve job, install the new springs, and deck the heads to ensure flatness.
