Are there any specs on the duration and the lsa of the 08 cams?

It would be interesting to see if they are on a 111 - 112.

It was said that modifying the stock cams was pointless since they were on a 115 lsa.
That's what were all wanting to know. Hopefully we can get the specs soon. I'm going to the dealership tomorrow, and hopefully their service manual has the specs. If not i will try to measure the 08 cams when I get them in a few days.

Problems with measuring the cams yourself is measuring the lsa and duration would be extremely difficult. You almost need a cam grinder to put them in their machine to get the specs. Getting the lift you can get reasonably close with a micrometer or digital calipers. Even the manual is not going to list the lsa of the cams just more than likely advertise duration and overall lift. The only way I see you could get the specs yourself would to install the cams and then use a degree wheel and go through all that with screwing up. I'm going to guess the lsa is closer to our stock cams than the HO. Should perform better for emissions I would think. I take it back after just looking at my 01 manual. They do list the valve timing in the manual so you should be able to figure out the lsa.

So what do you mean by should perform better for emissions?

Just leaving the dealership and got a printout on the cam specs and valve timing. I will scan and upload what I have and hopefully we can get it figured out.

Well disregard. After comparing the 09 manual with the 07 manual its all the same. The only thing they changed in the service manual was the HP, TQ and compression ratio numbers. Unless these engines are identical and have the same valve train and exactly the same camshafts, which i dont think is the case.

Anyone know a rough price difference between the non-HO cams for an '03 vs. The '08 cams? I'm about to purchase a rebuilt and am curious of the incremental cost. Also, since I'm going the rebuilt route, any additional thoughts on what else I should change to compliment the cams would be appreciated.

Non ho cams free to $20 really nobody wants them and the 08 cams are 600-800 bucks unless u can find used

I'm still working on the specs. A guy on DT sent me the 2011 specs for the 5.7 accidentally so I'm waiting for him to send me the 4.7 specs. Hopefully tomorrow we will know.

So how did you get these numbers for the 08 cams? Bc I have went through each service manual from 06-11 and all of the specs are exactly the same. Either dodge is too lazy to update the manuals or the camshafts are exactly the same as the standard cams.

I measured them out and posted pics side by side to show the difference in the two cams and stampede on dodgetalk came up with same specs

That's good to know, I feel a little relieved now. My new cams will be here tomorrow and I guess I am a little nervous.

There is about a 3/4 lb weight difference

Pricey little suckers. I'm having the rebuild shop look into finding some. Starting to get out of my price range for a second vehicle used for some weekend work, but I do like the sounds of the performance gains. Although, I have two or three cylinders shot currently, so with just a base rebuild I'm probably going to see some strong performance improvement anyway :)

I ordered mine from buymoparpartsnow.com, I paid 578 without the core. If I can get by with sending them my stock cams I will only have 378 in them. They should be here today and hopefully I can install them very soon.

That's a little better. Not sure how the shop doing mine will handle the care part. I'll have them check there. Thanks.

I'm not getting a proper website when I enter that... Would you mind checking to see if it's correct.

That's weird. I just tried it too and nothing, so I went to my emails and clicked on the link and still nothing. Colonial Dodge of Hudson is the name of the dealership and their number is 978-568-8000.
