I run 6.5 punch p1 component door speakesr 6.5 power t1 rear coaxial, wired to a kenwood deck, and clarion xc1410 4 channel amp, 2 alpine type s 10" in a 1.8-2.2 cubic foot ported box, 1600 watt lightning audio mono amp, and moooore to come.....havent had it meter'ed yet but the guesstimate is 145 DB, sorry to go off on a rant about my stereo, but I figured I should share.......what kind of 6 1/2s?

I have a mono kenwood thousand pushing a alpine type R. I killed a Kicker cvr a couple years ago with the same amp. Fried the coils.

I've heard the type r subs are brutal loud I'm looking to replace my type s subs with two type r 10s

oh yea the Type R can handle some shit, and is really loud.

sony xav 72-bt 2din head unit, audio control center channel processor, hifonics zxi60.4+1k 5 ch amp, boston acoustic 6.5 componants in the front and rear doors, boston acoustic 6.53 componants in custom made pods in the rear corners. boston acoustic 4 inch sattilite in the dach for center channel, for the down lows.removed the center of the second row seat and installed a custom ported enclosure with a JL audio 8w7 firing downward.
Its not much but its very clean and clear. It will rock whenever I want.

decent turn out of guys, keep em coming lemme know what you have, what you plan, and who you are. I figured it'd be good to have a thread to see who the fellow stereo lovers are out there.

recently built this box. sits in the center where the console goes. pounds like crazy

I stripped my interior and sound deadened everything in my 02 dakota for a big audio build I'm doing. Currently while I'm planning everything, I have a single kicker comp 12 in a 2.4 cube ported box tuned to about 28 Hz off an alpine mrv-t420 I got for free. I metered it at 138db the other day at like 180W

So with high hopes that another job takes off for me I think the Dakota has taken a turn for the extreme. I originally planned on only running two type r 10" subs and one 2400 watt amp in an mdf box...... I still will be for a little while, but!The latest and greatest idea has been 4 type r 10" subs two 2400 watt amps and one fiberglass rear sub box/plexi-glass covered inset amp rack. Plans for everything are still being worked out, but stay tuned for a build thread, and some vids

The stereo I just installed in my 99 Dakota sounds surprisingly good for what I put into it. I tried going as cheap as possible and used a bunch of stuff that has been sitting in the garage for a while. The only thing I bought was a JVC radio that has front and back Bluetooth connections pretty good EQ capability for under $80. Up front I used my old Memphis 6 1/2" woofers running off 2 channels of a PPI 900.4 amp and a couple of super tweeters running off the radio. The tweeters were so bright I had to mount them under the dash so they weren't so tiring on my ears. I am going to be replacing them soon. In the rear I have a SSA DCON 10" subwoofer running off the other two channels of the PPI amp.

The subwoofer is awesome. If you haven't heard of SSA before you should check them out. They are a very good mix of sound quality with the ability to get pretty loud too. Pretty affordable and efficient as well. The Precision Power amp has been really good too. They really seem to be getting back to the quality from the good old days.

Just got my Dak but in my Durango had a Pioneer deh-p9200r deck, old school Fosegate 360.6 pushing Polk MOMO 6.5 components in the front and Memphis Studio Pro 8" components in the back with MB Quart crossovers, Acoustic 200wrms amp pushing a Crystal Audio 10" sub up front in custom center box for upfront bass, Directed 1100D pushing a 15" Kicker L5 in a 3.35cu ft vented enclosurentuned to 28Hz, Directed D2400 pushing (2) 15" Directed SX series sub's in separate 2.25 cu ft sealed enclosures. A couple extra batteries and several big caps. Never had it metered.

I've got an Alpine 124sxm stereo, kicker doors speakers ks65, sundown audio sa12 2 ohm powered by an re audio amp 1000.1. i have it wired to 1 ohm at 800 watts rms. the sub is rated for 600 watts rms but it takes it like a champ. I've heard ppl say that they can take 1000+ rms. it pounds pretty good. i just ordered some sound damping. planning on doing my front doors and the back ext cab part and maybe my roof.
