I know there were a couple of years that DC actually made a convertable Dakota. Check out one of them to see what kind of reinforcement they have in them.

I think it looks good, but it would look even better with bags.

i dont want the gullwings that attach at the roof line they are in the factory location and raise up and out..kinda like a combo of lambo and the traditional gullwings...i do really like the doors welded shut too...do know yet...ill do my other mods first..

Just remove the doors. then you can make a totally new windshield frame thats got TONS more support. Not to mention that your chassis will be alot stronger if you weld the doors shut! :biggthump
why are some of you so hard on the guy...how has he ruined it...and just because it's an R/T...who the hell cares...the motor is the only real thing that makes that truck what it was. but you know...its HIS truck and HIS dream....i say get it all done and be happy with it....i'm not much on convertibles...but that is pretty sweet...and to do it on your own...even better.
oh and for the guys that may complain about what i said about the R/T's....bite my ass.....don't you remember back when people said that it was stupid to have a truck go fast?....well we are doing that..so don't flame the guy.....

Now go to any site and look up what a "rare solar yellow RC R/T" is worth. No more than any other R/T and the R/Ts arent worth much more than a regular dak any more.Jamie Black R/T said:
