i had a thread on this awhile ago, so ill post what ive learned. it allows more air into the engine, while not too much, and it is a simple bolt on. all you need is a new tb cable, and from what ive heard there is a slight decrease in mpg. i hear the engine makes less noise after installing one too. hope this can help, and hopefully no one will be an asshole if they need to correct me.

I have read on a tech article I believe from fastmans website that putting a v8 throttle body on a v-6 is letting 43% more air into the intake. That is a big improvement on the intake side.

They claim a hp increase of 10-15 % which on a 3.9 which is rated at 175( 02 model) that would be around 17.5-26.5. That seems high to me. I would guess around 10 hp. MPG wise it might get you 2-3 better.

Was reading in a older mopar mag someone gave me and if you do put a V8 tb on it, you need to pull the intake and bore the holes out to 2and1/16" or 2" is ok. Thats because the bores are that much bigger on the V8 tb. I think the ones on a V6 tb are only like 1and5/8". Now they are talking about a 92 dak with a 3.9 magnum. I have a 93 and as soon as I can come across one I am going to do it myself. the throttle linkage will bolt up on anything 93 and up because the 92 was different in some way. I'll see if I can find that book and be a bit more persise on this. It also had some other stuff to do to. And there was no effect on the gas mileage or computer. A few of the things they did was for really only if you were going to race it. It hooked up with everything they did and gained around 10 mph in the 1/4. I think around 92.3 mph.
