Ok stupid question now but I'm going back in tomorrow to work on my gauges.
How do i detach the climate controls so I can completely remove the dash. I barely had room to move things today because I couldn't get the dash off. Anyone have any pictures of how to do so???

Sorry for another post...need to get this addressed.

it unplugs fron the back. there will be a small tab that acts like a lock, this tab DOES NOT come out all the way, when you unlock it you will need to wiggal the wiring warness off. you have to do this to the switchs on the left side i.e. head lights.

we have the same dash and i was just in mine about 3-4weeks ago to finish you my radio and amps. i had to take the lower dash (under steering wheel) out just to make it easyer, as long as you pull that lock up and wiggal the plastic block that the wires ar in you will be OK, they are on super tight.

I think thats what made it hard...that they are on there so tight. I had the whole thing pulled away but I did the installation without removing it all the way...it was hard. I have to go back to it tomorrow and fix my needles and it would be so much easier without the whole thing out of my way.

Part of my issue also was trying to remove the dash while having the gear shift out of park. I had the parking break on but I was still afraid to take my foot off the gas. Does the parking break really hold the truck in place while the gear shift is in 2nd?

As long as the truck's not running, the parking brake will keep it from rolling
