You've seen tid-bits of my stereo installation throughout this thread, I am so worried about water touching my speakers I bought all new window seals (belt & glass run) $230:

Since even new seals are not designed to eliminate water I came up with a solution to guide the water that drips from the inner glass run away from the speaker and into the water channel which leads to the door drains, and it works really well! Just an old piece of vacuum hose since the hardware store, plumbing store, and automotive store all did not have the right size hose:

Of course I also went with the traditional assurance of foam rain guards:

I tediously cut out, pre-drilled, and hand screwed on water treated(deck sealer) blocking baffles to add structure for flex and help enclose the door to create an "enclosure" for the speaker:

Will you be getting into any audio competitions with this truck? Or just listening to perfect sounding music :D

Both lol I'm an audiophile but with my gear I believe I can place in a small reg cab for some class. I'm also installing a custom engineered T-line enclosure (4ft wide x 10" tall and 7" deep) by HEXIBASE ported and tuned to the interior dimensions of my cab. It will house two 6.5" woofers firing up, directly next to each other both on one side of the box for optimum headrest performance. I certainly wont be competing for bass dB however two Tang Band W6-1139SI's with an XMAX of 13mm will easily push as much as a pair of 8s which would compliment my 6.5" mid drivers nicely in a tuned enclosure. The reason I don't use 8s is I don't have enough room behind the seats, can't do anything between them either I got plans for a VW Golf center console with a hand-brake.

I love it man! :mullet: I also am planning on doing a center console with a handbrake. So make sure you keep us updated on that. :banana2:

This is where I'm at now, still need those front springs and shocks!

This is the direction I'm taking I photoshopped user "mijbr90190" truck (DodgeForum.com)... I need a visor, I also have a spare grille un-chopped I'm going to paint black but cut the stock rectangle mesh out in the four "sections" of the grill, I've decided with a black hood/cowl/mirrors that the smoked headlights are too much so I will be dropping them for some sort of super clear lens projectors, not sure what size tires these are but they look proportionate minus the fact he needs some leveling work in the front. Looks like a badass little truck!

I'm also very fond of the hood vents on the 98' Grand Cherokee Limited 5.9L I'm going to try and track down a pair:

UPDATE - Here is my new grill I chopped and painted:

I did the hood and cowl in black, now I need to re-black the mirrors and do the top of the fenders. Also the body line under the window and up the back, but now there is too much black so I need to break it up. I'm thinking diamond cut clear projection headlights (same thing as the black only with chrome)

Chrome grill inserts will help break up the black too, and a chrome bumper is tempting:

I think once I actually have my 5.9L Magnum the Ram head will be well fit!

Still at those hood louvers but I'm not sure if I want them in the hood or 50/50

I like it! Keep the black bumper though. I'll be there with my gen II soon enough. If I think about it I'll grab a pic of my design for my fenders and hood.

Are you sheet metaling over the spot where the corner running lights are, like I'm going to do?

I like the black it looks mean IMO and does not take away from a cleanliness look, as a minor of fact here is some more lol. I photoshopped the top of the fenders and door body line around the window black, I think the wedge in front of the mirror is necessary to keep it clean looking what do you think?

black out the rear too. If you want bring it on down the GA, well paint it all flat black and smooth out where the corner lights went

Black tailgate or just the same body line along the top of the bed? I got a body guy here I'm going to get a new pair of rust free fenders and weld metal in where the corner lights where.

follow it all the way down to the bed.

That was my original idea, that way I can put the black bed liner back in and where it rounds over the top the black plastic will blend in with the black paint.

Then with the sport/non-embossed;smooth tailgate I will paint "MOPAR" across it in flat black. The taillights I'm thinking about custom making by splitting these aftermarket clear ones and painting all the chrome black, then remove the red lens/bulb and install all high output red LEDs...they project outward instead of a 360 incandescent so therefor there is no need for a chrome reflector it can be black!

Image

take the red reflector out. But leave it chrome. Looks better. Or you can smoke the lense. Get the 360 degree HO LEDs.

I hate chrome it's too "blingy ricer" look, the problem with smoking the exterior lens is it always dampens your light intensity. Black backdrop wouldn't effect it, those 360 LED bulbs that fit into factory sockets suck I've tried them I would rather assembly my own LED circuit and drill the holes myself.

make a thread if you do that. Thatd be a cool project

Chrome is ricer since when and bling, maybe if you had 22s. lol your flat black hood photoshop reminds me of those honda **** with the black hood
Imo the all black is ricer to me. but hey man if you like your truck that way i would murder it out :)
