I have an oreillys rebuilt 3.9 V6 engine with 2500 miles on it in my dakota. I have been looking around for some bigger injectors for it, but I cant find any. I was wondering if anyone knows where I can get some and if it would be ok to put bigger injectors in.

Yeah...You dont need bigger injectors with just intake and exhaust mods. The only thing your gonna gain is gas consumption.

i have to agree. the stockers run a little on the rich side anyways. so whatever you can to to add more airflow into and out of the motor, is a good thing.

In fact these injectors are still large enough to support 10#'s of boost...And Im still on the rich side.

did you get your truck dyno'd yet? like to see how rich it is, and where int he rpm range it leans out. bet it leans out towards the top end... just my guess though. like about 4500-6300. if it does, call up someone to get the fuel mapping switched up a little to fatten it up top, and trim it a touch down stairs. not much though, prolly like 2-3% of a difference. but thats just a guess. i do know you dont wanna go to far from the norn too on these trucks. then you will end up running all sorts of electronics and shit, just to make the beast run...not good in my book. keep it simple, and run the shit out of it..lol :biggthump

btw, can you get a pic of how your computer is mounted to your truck (if its in the stock location). i think my inner fenders are aftermarket non oem ones. cause i have no provisione to mount mine on. i did have mine on the firewall at one point, been so lond since i had it on the inner fender, i forget where it needs to be. thanks

I havnt dynoed it yet but I did stick on the dyno for a quick road test before I left school, Basically I just just did a quick 0-100 or so. The RPM for the dyno wasnt working so I couldnt get a power test. I have a booster pump and a 12:1 FMU that provide plenty of fuel for what Im running. Any higher than 10#'s and I would probally have to run larger injectors. It did start leaning out around the 4800 mark. But I try to make it shift at around 5200. A/F was around mid 11's until that 4800 mark when it started to creep to high 11's. You gotta remember I still have the stock computer with the death flash and the damn 4800 shift point unless I wanna manual shift it. That flash pulls enough timing that I dont get detonation with the BTM set to zero. I can see if my old teacher can fax that A/F sheet to me, because I would really like it and its saved on the computer.

Oh and for the computer location...just check my sig :biggthump or this thread...Now I gotta go finish painting, see ya
