This isn't it. We have a Kamel Krikit floor hump mount like this. We have double radio mount the CB on top of a Linear Amp. All 3 of the trucks have quick release wiring so it can be transfered to the truck going on the road trip. I dont think they are made any more but they do pop up on Ebay every now and then.

check out my truck thread. I have two whips mounted on my tool box

finally someone who runs dual and had them hooked up!!

find a mount, figure out where you want it, and mark holes, drill and install

I'm still scratching my head on whether to drill holes in my dash or my floor console in the Durango, pretty sure the dash would be more common to find.

If you're in Buford, you ever wandered up to the "old Petro" (now owned by T/A last I looked) at Carnesville? There's a great radio guy in a shop there that peaked and tuned a Cobra 29LTD for me, and it reached 10 miles from my tractor without an amp.

I recently found an old Radio Shack small chassis (like a Cobra 25) that I need to have him look at, if I can get out of here I'll go see if he's still around.

and btw, if you're lacking a truck bed (or space in yours) you can go with a fender mount that rides on the hood edge. I'm thinking about drilling a hole in the roof of the Durango, myself. :)

^ you sir are close. I live in buford. But where abouts is that station? I now reside in statesboro, if your ever trucking on by give me holler. If you have a roof rack on your rango drill into that

I was just through Statesboro and Savannah dropping off some furniture to my in-laws about 10 days ago - rained the whole time :)

I don't truck anymore - loved it, but it was turning into more of an expensive hobby above $2.75/gal for diesel. Carnesville was a close to home stop for me along that corridor, and I was lucky to find that CB shop.

When I moved out here a few years ago from Missouri, I took a Class A refresher course at Daly's Driving School in Buford (mainly for Georgia, as I could've done it in Missouri with no refresher course before I moved) - and drove back and forth over the local mountains for 5 weeks - it was a blast. And honestly, after training Army truck drivers 20 years ago - it was fun to watch someone else do it. Good thing it was fun, because it cost a pile - but at least my truck insurance rates dropped.

Actually, that's one of my 2 favorite truck stops - Carnesville on I-85, and Kingdom City, MO along the I-70 - they were both Petro's - and they're both pretty much gone. If I run across the mans card - I'll post it here - I really hope he's still there doing his thing because the man knows his stuff. You can look up T/A Carnesville, GA and call the main number, ask for the CB shop and see what they do. Confusing, but T/A bought the rights to that Petro - if I remember it right, and they already had a T/A across the street from them. They basically bought the rights to the competition - imagine that.

yea back in Texas, there was a huge TA built off the highway I was at, then the city went from farm to urban real quick, but i moved before the boom
