:noob: question!! I have an 01 Rango R/T AWD. It has the 4HI /4LO dial option. It also has a 4N postion but the dial does not turn to it. What is the purpose of this Postion and should I be able to use this position? If so how?

4 N is neutral... as the name suggests it doesnt do much.. :jester:

The purpose of it is for flat towing, like behind a motorhome.
IIRC, you have to pull the knob out slightly, and turn it to the left.

Sorry to ressurect this old thread....BUT
I wanted to add:
I have an 02' SLT+ its AWD like the R/T, and the 4H/4L/4N dial does NOT move to the
4N setting.
It's just a little push button next to the "4N" (use a pen or paperclip)
I would assume the trans would need to be in neutral.
