I need to get a new transmission in the works to handle the turbo. I want to keep the 46RH I think, although the 6 speed auto OD from TCI looks a little tempting.

I'm thinking of these:
A&A
PATC
Martin Saine
Local Diesel performance shop
Others?

I want something that can hold at least 800HP/800FT*LB and someone who says "you can't break it".

Tempting, but I don't want to redo my center console and I'm not sure it would hold the power. Why you know a guy that's got one? Haha.

is this a high rpm turbo plan? racing?
If so post back
The Diesel parts work well for high torque- towing
you should be ok as long as you are running hyd cam
ps you can break anything
Transgo has a video on their website

Not high RPM, should be less than 6000.
Yes to the turbo and some racing, mostly street, but certainly some track use.
I have a hydraulic roller cam. 234/234@.050" with .544 lift and I don't recall the LSA off hand, but I think it's 112.
I want reliability and speed, not worried about cost as much.
I am a big fan of transgo and have used their stuff for years.

Ask Transgo who to have build a strong trans?

The cam was spec'ed by Ryan Johnson from Shady Dell. It is a 112 LSA. Pretty mild for that large of CID plus it's 9.5CR so I can afford to bleed off some.

Martin Saine....Period.

Get his non lock up valve body, I loved mine. OD off it's like a 727, no third gear bog, OD on it's like a normal 46RE.

Does he have a website or what? All I can find is an e-mail address and phone number. How is he to work with?

Mine is a 46RH, but I would imagine that would be similar, just easier.

the A500 (42 RH) died in my 94 dakota yesterday I think it is in the OD unit.... I stared the Fall semester last Sept that same way about the 3rd day of class; today was my last. and the trans did it again 2nd to last day some way to "bookend" the school year huh? this time I may just pull the OD unit and tear it apart before I pull the whole works.... since I have 14K miles on it between trans jobs; before I had 3 days of "experience" with the truck so I pulled and went thru the whole thing.

I love my Dodge trucks but I think it may be time to look for another 5 speed and pedal set like is happening to my 93.

I have a spare real good 46RH that you could swap in. It won't handle my Engine/Turbo so I really don't need it.

first
what went out?
thrust washers-- inadequate lube and cooling
overheated spring- get Transgo's
slipping clutches you can rebuild to diesel specs and use 8-9 clutches
rebuilt correctly there is no reason for your od unit to go out

I know it can be made to work and it will. I have another "extra one" that is like brand new that I don't need. It came with the 410 that I had, the one that just sold on here. Very few miles on it after a HD rebuild. So I have 2. The one in my truck with over 100k miles on it that I will use as a core for the turbo rebuild and the other one with next to no miles on it.
