first here is my ride. 2001 Dodge Dakota Sport Regular cab 3.9L V6 5 Speed Manual.

My clutch/gear shift works great when i first start driving. After about half an hour of driving shifting starts to screw up, especially from first to second, a little less from second to third. 4th and 5th are usually ok. I clutch and when pulling the shifter from 1st to second i have to use force (in some cases i really have to yank it out of first and shove it into second). Sometimes ill yank it out of first then i try to go into second but it grinds and i have to reclutch to go into second.

the best way to work around this problem is for me to release the clutch a little and press it back down again. so im constantly "double clutching' but it gets annoying when people are on my ass when im in first.

My hypothesis. A few months ago i ventured to replace every fluid. (i bought it used in summer a lot of the fluids were old). i had the transmission fluid done at a lube shop. I think they might have put too much fluid in, so when the fluid warms up and expands my clutch gets sluggish?

I really have no idea and would really appreciate any input.
Note: i had the "master cylinder" in the clutch tested for pressure and was told it is fine and wouldn't explain why after a cold start it shifts normally.

When it doesn't wanna shift, pump the clutch pedal a couple of times and see if that makes it easier. If it does, you have a bad clutch master cylinder. Master cylinders usually don't care about temperature, but you said if you release the clutch a little and push it back in it works better.

clutch fluids were replaced a few months ago. I havent checked it but maybe they put too much in?

i had the master cylinder checked for pressure and was told that the pressure is holding.
Again, this problem turns up after about half an hour of driving. Once ive been driving on it for a few hours coming to a stop (idling in first) poses an odd problem. it feels like the clutch isnt depressed fully, the engine chugs a little. Ive been told my fuel pump pressure may be low so thats might be a source, but the timing of it is dependent on the clutch issue coming up.
