My battery has been randomly dieing, one day I ran in to get pizzza came out 5 min later and my battery was stone cold dead. I recharged it and it held till today when i was at sugarbush i cam off the hill and once again its stone cold dead. I think the battery is fried. Could it be my new sub and off roading lights? it seems the issue started after this summer after i installed both. I know its a ignorant question but pretty sick of this shit haha

Did the problem occur before you added the new off road lighting? I don't know why your subs would have anything to do with it. Start tracing easy stuff, disconnect the lights, etc and all the stuff you added to see if the battery still dies. Maybe get the battery bench tested.

well the amp is drawing power from the battery i think, because my cable does directly connect to the positive wire that connects to the battery. sorry, I'm ignorant as fuck when it comes to wiring. no not before the offroading lights but they shouldn't be drawing power i have it so if the trucks off the off roading lights won't be on no matter what even if my switch is on. The battery is 12 years old although it is a good one. it may just be time for a new one. alternator tested good same with starter

Yep, battery time. Your cells are okay and I'm pretty sure whenever it needed water it got distilled water. However, you have a internal connection that is failing. Shutting the door can jiggle it enough to disconnect it and another slamming of the door (I'm sure you aren't easing it shut when you're pissed about it dying) can reconnect it. That's why it's sudden.

good news! it was a loose wire beyond the terminals, although i tested the battery it is charged now but slowy dieing. Funny thing about slamming doors sometimes my dome light defuses to turn off until the door opens n shits a 100 times. Its the passenger sides switch that needs replacement
