Will it hurt anything to run straight exhaust manifolds? I was gonna drill a hole for the o2 sensor in the collector.
No doubt, this thread is full of BS.LMAO dak dur is full of false info.
Higher octane burns slower not hotter.
I dont have a clue?Based on what info?
You don't have a clue...
I don't see what you are referring to, I see upwards of 15hp over their base readings and with the exception of giving up a little in the 3500-4500 range they performed virtually as good as long tubes, and across the board they consistently out performed the stock type manifolds in horsepower and torque.I dont have a clue?
Well maybe these guys do. What info are you basing your opinion on?

well yea i didnt literally mean 2 hp just a real small amount"On a 600hp street or strip terror, unbolting a big-tubeheader in favor of stock manifolds could cost upwards of 100 hp. "
i know your truck doesn't have 600hp, but even if it were proportional, i think it would be more than 2hp over stock manifolds...
i was comparing the 340 manifolds to the shorties and that was like 6 hp check again.I don't see what you are referring to, I see upwards of 15hp over their base readings and with the exception of giving up a little in the 3500-4500 range they performed virtually as good as long tubes, and across the board they consistently out performed the stock type manifolds in horsepower and torque.
So...you have 340 manifolds on that 5.2 Magnum?i was comparing the 340 manifolds to the shorties and that was like 6 hp check again.
That might be the case, but I doubt it. The 340 manifolds they used are the highly sought after high performance manifolds that resemble a header. The 92-early 93 magnum manifolds out flow the late 93 through end of production magnums. The 92-93's have a 2 1/8" outlet vs. the 1 7/8" on the late 93-04's, the 92-93 had a 10 hp higher rating that went away when the smaller manifolds were put in production with no other changes made to the engine.no but i hear that the magnum manifolds flow better than the old 340 manifolds
so the early magnum manifolds were the ones better than the 340 manifolds got it. How much ya sell em for? That might be the case, but I doubt it. BTW, I have a pair of the 92-93 2 1/8" manifolds I would sell if interested. They don't have any casting numbers on them, I ground them and all of the rough casting smooth and painted with ceramic high temp paint, but there is no mistaking the outlet size.
I don't know if they are better than the 340's or not, I wouldn't think so. The 92-93's are 10 hp better than the late 93-04 manifolds.so the early magnum manifolds were the ones better than the 340 manifolds got it. How much ya sell em for?
Yep... They have held up for close to 2 years on my truck now... They arent shiny but they get the job done.... I couldnt afford any american brands... And ill let ya in on a secret.... The american brands aint made here either.....Should i have gotten jba or pacesetter or some other american made headers instead? The price was just really good and it said stainless steel thats why i jumped on it so quick. The dpt website said it was in california. Do they just have overseas plants put em together?
