I want to try the warm air theory for myself. What do I do with the harness that is connected to the air intake pipe on my after market intake system ? I have the K&N filter in the front pass. side corner in its own box. I hope I expained myself well enough:blahblah:

sounds like a intake temp sensor, is it just a little sensor with 2 wires on it and what exactly are you talking about the warm air theory
There is another thread about putting your intake filter as close as you can get to the TB and in the winter time it will improve your MPH but you will lose performance (HP) at this time of year I don't need hp with the roads here in my part of the country.

well thats where my AIT sensor is Air Intake Temp sensor. do you have any connections ive heard that as well the air is cold but too dence that you loose power snece you cant shoot enough fuel in to use the extra air

yup IAT or which ever way thats ment to be lol thats what it is make sure thats still connected how ever you do that or you will flip a CEL. post a pic of your intake when you get a chance

sensor must be plugged in to harness..if not, check engine light will come on and your mileage and driveability will be poor....computer will think it's like 40 below if sensor is left unplugged..it will run rich all the time

i have heard of people soldering in a resistor behind the sensor and it makes it think that it is a certin temp outside reguardless of what the sensor is reading that might make it where you dont need it idk could look into it

Well I hope i do this right .Here are the pics.
This is my intake system that I want to modify

in this pic. is that the resistor you are talking about?

you can relocate the sensor inside the intake manifold.. just remove the "plug".... there's a plug for it on all 4.7L intake manifolds. the 04+ originally had a plug that said "DO NOT REMOVE" where the IAT sensor goes all you have to do it twist and remove, so it can be interchangeable with pre-03 engines that have the IAT in the manifold instead of the air box; good dodge engineering.08+ I have no clue
birth to 03 it's the 2nd runner from the drivers-side firewall same on the 04-07 just in a diffrent orientation
